Sarah asked if they would record a song she wrote for her little brother who has a fatal disease called Duchenne to help raise awareness to find a cure. The band asked several friends to join them on the project including Eric Brittingham from Cinderella, Robert Mason from Warrant, Mark Slaughter from Slaughter, Doc Holladay from Doc Holladay & Tombstone, and Josh Nordlund & Daniel Donato from Robert M Knight’s Brotherhood of the Guitar (Jared from More Like Me is also a member of Robert M Knight’s Brotherhood Of The Guitar). The song was produced by Ronnie Thomas (Metallica, Brooks & Dunn etc), engineered by Bob Bullock (Shania Twain, George Straight, Kenny Chesney etc) and Ricky Cobble (Tim Mcgraw, Toby Keith, Faith Hill, etc). The entire project was filmed for a music video that was featured in a promotion for The Cure Duchenne Foundation called “The Run Away Project”. After the success of “Run Away” the band was asked to write their own song for a follow-up promotion for Cure Duchenne. This time Legendary Producer Michael Wagener was brought on board to record and produce. Michael is known for his multi-platinum recordings and production for artists including: Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue, Alice Cooper, Poison, Skid Row, Extreme, Janet Jackson, White Lion, Queen, Warrant, etc. The single “I’ll Be The One” and music video were released to critical acclaim, and were featured in another promotion for The Run Away Project to benefit Cure Duchenne, with the band again is donating all sales to Cure Duchenne.
